Program Details, Fees, & Tution

The RFC Flight Training Program includes operating policies, procedures and requirements as established in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations. Our programs ensure safe and effective conduct of flight training. Transport Canada minimum training requirements are listed below, for more accurate estimates based on average completion times, please contact the RFC Office.

Recreational Pilot Permit

Dual Instruction: 20 hrs @$300 = $6,000
Solo Flight Time: 5 hrs @$220 = $1,100
Ground Briefing: 10 hrs @$80 = $800
Tuition Fees: $425
Books: $250
RFC Membership: $160
Total Minimum Cost: $8,735+tax

Private Pilot License

Dual Instruction: 33 hrs @$300 = $9900
Solo Flight Time: 12 hrs @$220 = $2640
Ground Briefing: 15 hrs @$80 = $1200

Commercial Pilot License

Dual Instruction: 35 hrs @$308 = $10,708

Night Endorsement

Multi-Engine Rating

Dual Instruction: 10 hrs @$538 = $5,380

Instructor Rating

Dual Instruction: 30 hrs @$308 = $9,240

Instrument Rating

Estimated costs may be provided on request as such costs will reflect each individual’s previous experience and currency. In addition, the Instrument Rating may be acquired on either a single or multi-engine airplane. Flight time on our approved flight simulator may reduce total costs of the rating.

Payment Methods

Accepted Payment Methods. We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We may accept bank transfers, E-transfers or other local payment options depending on your location. Additionally, cash and cheques as well as Money on Account Options are available.

Refunds. Regina Flying Club does accept Returns on merchandise and pilot supplies. Regina Flying Club does not accept returns on any plane rentals, instruction, ground school gift cards/certificates, Discovery or Pilot for an Hour rides or annual memberships. Regina Flying Club permits returns if the product is unopened and in the original packaging within 14 days of the original purchase date. Proof of purchase is required for all returns. If 14 days or more have passed since your original purchase date, we cannot offer a refund or an exchange.

An inspection/full examination will be initiated, upon receipt of the returned item to ensure you are entitled to a refund. Provided the refund is approved, Regina Flying Club will refund your purchase price and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment. Only regular priced items may be refunded, as sale items will be a final sale and are not refundable. Regina Flying Club only exchanges goods if they are approved after the inspection.

For all Money on Account or Tuition Refunds, a signed agreement adhering to the terms and conditions is required. An agreement can be provided by request, and refunds will be processed in accordance with its terms.
