Financial and Administrative Services Officer

Note: this will be temporary full-time from June 2021 – July 2022

Reporting to the General Manager the Financial and Administrative Services Officer conducts the daily, weekly, monthly and annual monitoring and record keeping of the financial transactions of the RFC.

The Financial and Administrative Services Officer is accountable and responsible to:

  • establish and maintain financial record keeping systems
  • carry out daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial record keeping
  • organize, conduct and record purchases and acquisitions
  • act as administrative assistant to the General Manager
  • conduct financial record keeping in accordance with approved accounting standards, procedures and practices and RFC policy and procedure
  • ensure the security of financial records is maintained
  • perform analysis of financial data and prepare reports to assist in organizational decision making
  • establish and maintain business relations with vendors
  • initiate and develop financial and accounting administrative procedures for the corporation
  • communicate and engage with customers regarding financial transactions to inform and resolve conflicts or disputes
  • provide information and learning to staff regarding the proper conduct of administrative and financial transactions and procedures
  • supervise and conduct payroll operations, coordinate payroll preparation with the payroll service provider and resolve any conflicts or disputes regarding payroll operations
  • initiate and prepare corporate year-end financial statements for audit and for review and approval by the Board of Directors
  • organize and maintain RFC insurance requirements for property, buildings, equipment, aircraft and services liability

  • Flying Instructor Specific Skills:
    • Teach flying techniques and procedures
    • Train licensed pilots for additional certifications

  • Pilot-Specific Skills:
    • Train and prepare pilots for examination
  • Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
    • Commercial Pilot License (fixed wing)

Ramp Attendant

Summer student Ramp Attendant required June to August 2021

Salary- $15.00/Hour


  • Superior customer service skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Punctual & professional
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Able to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Aviation background is an asset, but not a requirement



  • Greet customers, and handle payments
  • Marshal aircraft in and out of ramp area safely
  • Positioning aircraft in and out of hangar safely and in the ramp area
  • Fuel aircraft/ monitor fuel tanks
  • Groom aircraft
  • Keep front area office/hangar clean
  • Any other duties assigned by the General Manager
