Preparing for that important written test? Or curious what exercises are on your upcoming flight test? The links below include all test guides provided by Transport Canada, which will help you be successful in your next written exam or flight test! 

Pre-Solo

Prior to your first solo flight, you must pass both a PSTAR exam, and the ROC-A exam. (In addition to holding a valid medical certificate.) Both the PSTAR and ROC-A exams are available to be written in-house at the RFC.

Private Pilot License – Aeroplane (PPAER)

The PPAER exam and the PPL Flight Test are available to be completed at the RFC by our on-staff examiner.

Recreational Pilot Permit – Aeroplane (RPPAE)

The RPPAE exam and the RPP Flight Test are available to be completed at the RFC by our on-staff examiner.

Commercial Pilot License – Aeroplane (CPAER)

The CPAER can be written by appointment at any Transport Canada Office, and the CPL Flight Test can be completed at the RFC by our on-staff examiner.

Night Rating – Aeroplane

  • No Written Exam!
  • No Flight Test!

Instrument Rating – Aeroplane (INRAT)

The INRAT can be written by appointment at any Transport Canada Office, and the IFR Flight Test can be completed at the RFC by our on-staff examiner.

Multi-Engine Rating – Aeroplane

The Multi-Engine Flight Test can be completed at the RFC by our on-staff examiner.

Instructor Rating – Aeroplane (AIRAF / AIRAT)

The AIRAF / AIRAT can be written by appointment at any Transport Canada Office, and the Instructor Flight Test can be completed at the RFC, however this flight requires a Transport Canada Examiner to come in and administer the flight test.

Two-Crew Type Rating (IATRA)

The IATRA can be written by appointment at any Transport Canada Office.

Airline Transport Pilot License (SAMRA / SARON)

The SAMRA / SARON can be written by appointment at any Transport Canada Office.
